I learned the art of photography out of necessity from my time as a journalist, and the more time I spent behind the camera the more I fell in love with the craft.
my passion for photography derived from photographing sports and evolved into portrait and lifestyle photography; seniors, families, newborns, events, etc. you name it, I’ll make images of it.
as a journalist and photographer for The Commercial Review newspaper in Portland, Indiana, I received 35 individual awards, including 19 for photography. I was a two-time Photo of the Year finalist in the Hoosier State Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest; the only two times a CR photographer has earned the honor.
